Hair and Beauty
Our Hair and Beauty training salons use the latest equipment and we offer trainees the opportunity to learn hair, nail, make-up and other beauty treatments in a ‘real-world’ environment that quickly reinforces skills and boosts confidence. To aid in their training, students also benefit from up-to-date computers, wireless internet, a student intranet and access to national and international industry training resources.
Electrical
For organisations in the electrical industry who need their staff to learn new skills or update existing ones, Chisholm has superb facilities. Part of the $13m Centre for Integrated Engineering and Science (CIES), resources include teaching and training spaces, workshops, a dedicated electrical wiring laboratory and theory and practice rooms. There is also a computer-aided drafting laboratory with 24 state-of-the-art workstations equipped with software such as AutoCAD and AutoCAD 3D.
Turf
Across our six locations Chisholm offers a range of outstanding facilities for organisations working in industries involving turf and sports grass. At our Rosebud location we offer one of the State’s best-equipped turf and sports grass training complexes, including a turf-management training facility, sports turf assessment areas and a full range of the latest equipment. Our teachers and trainers are fully qualified industry specialists who are acknowledged by independent industry bodies as among the best in their field.
Design, Multimedia & Arts
Chisholm has a range of first-class facilities for organisations needing employee skills training in the competitive area of design, multimedia and arts. Our graphic design studios are fully equipped with the latest computer workstations, scanners, printers, digital cameras and the latest versions of industry-standard software packages. With long-standing relationships throughout the design industry, Chisholm is also the first port of call for many of the best-known design and advertising agencies in Victoria when they are looking for new staff. We also cater for training in a variety of skills areas including arts therapy and ceramics.
Food Processing
For many years Chisholm has lead in providing services to the food processing industry, delivering workforce development programs to a range of clients throughout Australia. While we have top class facilities and learning environments across all of our six locations, most training and services in this area are delivered direct to the workplace in tailored, structured workforce development programs that are designed to cause a minimum of disruption to your workplace.
