Workplace English Language, Literacy & Numeracy

Ensuring your staff has the basic skills they need to carry out their jobs is vital if you want a productive workforce and a safe workplace. Being able to read and write English, communicate clearly with colleagues and posses the requisite skills to train and achieve qualifications necessary for the industry you’re working in is essential for employees in Australia.

Chisholm leads the way in the development and delivery of training programs and services for staff needing to improve their work-related English language, literacy and numeracy skills. Our programs support individuals seeking to attain or progress to higher level industry qualifications and to help them engage fully in workplace practices encompassing Occupational Health and Safety, quality, teamwork and organisational culture and communications. Our approach means each employee is treated as an individual and provides a positive, supportive atmosphere in which to learn.

We design our training programs to meet your organisation’s unique needs, taking into account the requirements of your business and operational schedules, the type of work your employees do and the specific requirements of the industry sector your organisation works in. We deliver this in the format that best suits your needs: at your workplace, at one of our locations, remotely or through a combination of these.

A great team

Our trainers are fully qualified both in the language and literacy fields and the industry they deliver training in. They have experience training workers in a wide range of industries including health care, aged care, manufacturing, transport and logistics and food processing. All our trainers are supportive and have worked locally, state-wide and nationally and with small businesses as well as medium to large enterprises.

We are experienced in the securing of funding, delivery of programs and services and contract management required for a number of government-funded contracts including the Language, Literacy and Numeracy Program and the Workplace English Language and Literacy Program – both funded by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.

We are well placed to discuss the subsidies your organisation may be eligible for.
